The finale of the LeapStart Junior Football League was held at the Samhita Academy. The league which kicked off in mid. November saw 8 schools participate across age groups of under 12,10 & 8 for boys and girls. The league is an initiative to take football to the grassroots.

LeapStart Badminton Championship Finals

he LeapStart National Badminton Championship saw players from 8 cities battle it out for the national title. The final day witnessed some closely contested matches including the battle for the third place playoff between M Arvind (SPK International School, Chennai) and Sri Harsha (JHPS, Hyderabad) where Arvind came out victorious 13-5, 15-8, 15-6.

Touch Rugby Workshop

LeapStart trainers were part of The Rugby Level-1 Trainer's certification programme organized by "Rugby India". The programme consisted of basic Introduction to RUGBY Skills, Basic Rules & Terminologies. Touch Rugby is a modified version Rugby played safely without contact. The training was conducted for the trainers in Bangalore and Chennai.


POCSO Workshops

POCSO (The Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses) workshop was conducted for the trainers of Fitkids across Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Delhi. The workshop explained the aspects and the importance of the POCSO act. The workshop was necessary to bring awareness of the act to the trainers who engage with the children on a daily basis. POCSO workshop was an interactive session where the Fitkids trainers learned about all the aspects pertaining to the act from senior IPS officers and student counselors.


LeapStart Spirt of Sports Campaign

LeapStart - Spirit of Sports Olympics Campaign LeapStart, in partnership with Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ), JSW Sports and GoSports Foundation, unfolded a nation-wide campaign in 130 schools, covering 45 cities and over 150,000 children to bid farewell and offer encouragement to the Indian athletes who participated in the 2016 Olympic and Paralymic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Students of Grade 5-10 are also engaged in a nationwide quiz competition on Olympics. A unique audio video experience for the students was also set up with curated motivational sports videos.

LeapStart 2015 All India National Badminton Championships

Winners of 6 regional tournaments ready to compete at the National Finals

The third edition of the LeapStart All India Badminton Championships in partnership with Yonex, begins its National finals in Bangalore on the 8th and 9th of September, 2015 at the Karnataka Badminton Association, Vasanth Nagar. Over 60 winners have come down to Bangalore to participate in the National Finals.

Badminton tourney

The third edition of the LeapStart All-India Badminton Championships will begin at the Citi Nest Activity Center here on Monday. The three-day event will feature close to 175 players from 30 schools across the city.

Besides the Bengaluru leg, the tournament will also be conducted in Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad. The regional winners will participate in the National finals, to be held in Bengaluru later this year.

The 2015 LeapStart All India Badminton Championships saw participation of over 100 children from 20 schools as Day 2 of the tournament unfolded at Citinest Activity Center, Indiranagar on Tuesday. The 2nd day of the tournament saw the first three rounds of the Under 15 Girls, Under 13 Girls and Under 13 Boys categories.

Tushar completes fine double on final day of LeapStart Badminton Championships

Tushar Suveer, 9, from Narayana E Techno bagged a fine double to win both the Under 11 and Under 13 boys' singles title at the Bangalore leg of the 2015 LeapStart All India Badminton Championships at the Citinest Activity Center here on Wednesday. In the other categories, Ramya CV from Jain Heritage clinched the Under 15 girls', P Raj Kumar from MVM Hosur won the Under 15 boys', Shraddha from Sindhi High won the Under 13 girls' and Arya from Gopalan won the Under 11 girls' title.
